Unity in year 2015

     There has been a lot of changes in the churches since I was a little girl. There was a time when the pastor would just say do something one time and the people pulled together to get it done. Many days I watched as my grandmother and the other church members pull together in doing many, many fund-raisers and services. I never seen them fight amongst themselves like so many do now. One thing that i have learned is that without unity the devil has a chance to cause confusion. We can't do any one part, except our own. God has given each of us a part to do and each part is just as important as the others. The Bible has several scriptures on unity:

Unity in brotherly love

1 Peter 3:8, John 13:35, John 17:23, Acts 4:32, Philippians 2:1-3, Colossians 3:14, 1 John 4:12, Psalms 133:1, Matthew 23:8, Romans 12:10, 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Unity and Peace
Romans 15:33, Ephesians 4:3
Unity and the Body of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:12, 1 Corinthians 12:26, Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 4:11-13
Unity in the midst of disciple and disagreement

    So the next time you get a chance to work in unity, remember, God has put something in place to help you get through the obstacles because the devil already knows how he would keep you from working in unity. Keep telling yourself that with the Lord's help, "It can be done." Words from a mighty general in the army of the Lord.

A Pastor's Anniversary

     This week is my Pastor's anniversary. 40 years is a long time to labor in the vineyard of the Lord; on your knees praying for others, visiting the sick and those that are shut in and seeing about their children when they get into trouble. Being called in the middle of the night, turning down your plate fasting. He teaches and preaches to God's people. There is a lot of things going on in his life, but he always puts God's people first because he has a fatherly spirit. Even though Superintendent Prioleau has been through a lot, he can keeps a smile on his face. Though the road has been rough while climbing those mountains, feeling the disappointments, the rejections, the back turners, people waiting for his failure amongst other things. Still, the victories kept coming and God provided according to His riches in glory. Superintendent Prioleau never compromised his position and never the gospel. The words he preaches is the word he lives by and has been obedient to the word of God and lives by faith through the ups and downs, the good times and the rough times, even the tests. Superintendent Prioleau and Mother Prioleau never gave up and now they are celebrating 40 years in the ministry. The praises are going up and the blessings are coming down. There is a new building and a readiness to do God's work in a new area. So now it's praising and shouting time, for God has been good.

     When you are in a battle year after year, you'll end up with battle scars. Those scars show that you've been in the battle, but when you're standing there it shows that you're still alive and you're still here to show everyone what the Lord has done. The victory.
You don't know what pastor's go through unless you become a pastor.

     So, Superintendent Prioleau and Mother Prioleau, may God continue blessing you and giving you the victory. Happy Anniversary!!!
